Sterile cleanroom wipers are designed for critical cleaning in aseptic suites and high-classification cleanrooms where microbial control is mandatory. These wipers are supplied validated sterile, most commonly through Cobalt-60 gamma irradiation, and certified to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶ under ANSI/AAMI/ISO sterilization guidelines. That level of sterility makes them suitable for pharmaceutical and medical-device production, USP <797>/<800> compounding areas, biotech labs, and other environments where a non-sterile wipe would be a compliance risk.

Sterile wipers are also manufactured and tested for cleanroom performance—not just sterility. Across leading brands, they are evaluated for particle and fiber release, ionic contamination, and nonvolatile/extractable residues using IEST recommended practices, so you get a wipe that won’t re-contaminate the surface you just cleaned. Most sterile wipers are packaged double-bagged or triple-bagged in solvent-safe cleanroom packaging to allow outer-bag wipe-down before introducing the inner bag into sterile areas, and each lot is traceable with certificates of irradiation/compliance and labeled expiration dates.
