Polyester cleanroom wipers are widely regarded as the cleanest and most durable wiper material for ISO-classified environments. Made from 100% continuous-filament polyester (knit or nonwoven), they deliver very low particle and fiber release, strong abrasion resistance, and excellent compatibility with common cleanroom chemistries. That makes polyester the default choice for critical wiping, precision assembly, and residue-sensitive processes in semiconductor & microelectronics, aerospace, medical device, pharmaceutical, optics, and lab applications.

Performance depends on construction and edge finish. Double-knit, no-run interlock polyester provides a soft, cloth-like feel that cleans without scratching, while standing up to repeated wiping and scrubbing. For higher-critical areas, sealed-edge or sealed-border polyester wipers thermally/ultrasonically lock in filaments to reduce fraying and edge shedding, supporting use in ISO Class 3–5 cleanrooms.

Many polyester families are also processed and tested for ions, nonvolatile residues (NVR), and extractables, helping protect sensitive surfaces like optics, sensors, and electronic assemblies when using IPA, ethanol, acetone, disinfectants, adhesives, and lubricants.
