Your Guide to Cleanroom Wipes Part 2
12th Oct 2015
Finding the right wipes can be overwhelming and frustrating.
When it comes to cleanroom wipes, you won't find a bigger or better selection than what we have available at SOS Cleanroom. Although variety is a good thing because it allows us the meet the needs of many customers, it can also make finding the right wipes difficult. That's why, in our last blog, we went over part one of our guide to cleanroom wipes. The following is part two of our guide:
#4. Extractables and Purity
In any cleanroom, it is important for wipes to effectively remove spills without leaving material residuals, like lint, or chemical residue, often called extractables. This makes lint free wipes ideal for most cleanroom applications. Synthetic cleanroom wipes that are woven or thermally bonded avoid surfactants, glues, binders and other additives, and they generally have low extractables.
#5. Sorbent Properties
A sorbent is a type of material that absorbs or adsorbs gases or liquids. In most cases, wipes are used in cleanrooms to clean up fluid spills, which makes absorbency incredibly important. You need a wipe that will properly clean a hard surface without leaving any residue or generating extractables or lint particles.
At SOS Cleanroom, we are happy to say that we have the right cleanroom wipes for the job, no matter what that job may be. With such a variety of high quality brands, like Texwipe, we are confident that we have the perfect option for you. Need help finding the right wipes? Contact us today! We are always happy to help.
