Robotics in the Cleanroom Can Only Help So Much

There are constant changes and updates happening within clean rooms to help meet the FDA and cGMP regulations and stay efficient. Ensuring that the outgoing products of pharmaceutical clean rooms are of the highest and most pure quality for patients. One change to help protect the purity of the product is bringing robotics into the manufacturing process to cut down on the amount of contaminants and particulates in the clean room during production. With some medicines it is critical they remain pure and untainted so the patient can get the benefit of the medicines without any interference or risk of developing complications.
Automation has been successful in creating an efficient system, completing repetitive tasks and reducing human error. The robotics can be designed for inspection and packaging, and in some cases, taking the place of humans from hazardous environments.
While the use of robotics does cut down on the amount of human carried particulates and contaminants that occur in the cleanroom, there is plenty of opportunity for the growth of bacteria if it becomes present. Therefore a thorough cleaning will still need to take place within the clean rooms and the antechamber to eliminate any particulates and contaminants present.
ITW Texwipe offers clean room wipers and clean room swabs for the purposes of cleaning and sterilizing properly. The wipers are easy to use, the packaging allows one-handed use so workers can easily pull a wiper out and use it if in a pinch without contaminating other items. The texwipe swabs offer cleaning or sampling/cleaning validation for use in cleanrooms and for general use. They are made of materials that won’t shed like a cotton swab would, yet, they are effective in their purpose. Shop SOSCleanRoom.com for all your cleaning materials, apparel and solutions.
